Creating a Samba Share on a Linux box for a Windows box in network

[root@oraclesrvr ~]# mkdir /regp
[root@oraclesrvr ~]# useradd regpadmin
[root@oraclesrvr ~]# useradd regpuser
[root@oraclesrvr ~]# passwd regpadmin
[root@oraclesrvr ~]# passwd regpuser
[root@oraclesrvr ~]# chown -R regpadmin:regpadmin /regp
[root@oraclesrvr ~]# chmod -R 777 /regp

[root@oraclesrvr ~]# vi /etc/samba/smb.conf

Edit the following lines which are present at the end of file accordingly:
[regp]
comment = regp user stuff
path = /regp/
valid users = regpadmin regpuser
public = no
writable = yes
printable = no
create mask = 0765
:wq

[root@oraclesrvr ~]# cat /etc/passwd | mksmbpasswd.sh > /etc/samba/smbpasswd
[root@oraclesrvr ~]# chmod 600 /etc/samba/smbpasswd
[root@oraclesrvr ~]# smbpasswd regpadmin
[root@oraclesrvr ~]# smbpasswd regpuser
[root@oraclesrvr ~]# service smb restart

Now connect to the linux box from any windows machine in same network and try to create,modify or delete any file in the share created by you.
These permissions can be set according to your requirements.
